Greetings All!

I took the afternoon off a couple of days ago and went to one of my favorite jumping spider hunting grounds. The only problem was that it was still wintertime and the wildlife was mostly sleeping. But out of sheer determination I still came back from my outing with an interesting selection of macro photographs (and a few non-macro shots, into the bargain).

When not turning over stones and combing through the grass I did quite a lot of talking to myself - mostly about macro technique, the subconscious attraction of jumping spiders, and the philosophy of macro photography. I handled my probing questions well and answered myself with wit and charm.
