Bug Month is Here - are you ready?

Hello all, we are into May already and this May just happens to be Bug Month. So bugs are what we are going to be talking about and this week we will start in earnest. Tomorrow we start the week with a down to business livestream, all about soft images in field insect photography. I will show you how I assess the problem and arrive at the diagnosis so that you can start getting the tack-sharp images you are looking for. This will be a seriously dee dive into all the causes of soft images in field macro. There will be something useful for everyone in this show.

Thursday is Macro Talk Too and this week I am going to giving the intro stuff I missed last week and then go on to talk about the best bug to chase after for photography - should be fun!

And as always, the link is right here - https://youtube.com/live/jbWkUI2_t_4?feature=share.

Somewhere in here I am supposed to getting the Optolux video review edited and ready for release, but despite it remaining on the top of my to do list last week, I never even reviewed the footage. I did get some nice product images for the video though...

So most of the shooting is done and I just need to carve out enough time to put everything together - it shouldn’t take too long and I hope it will be worth the wait. This is a remarkable lighting system - unlike anything I have ever had a chance to use before. Some of my conclusions may surprise you!

I hope you can make it tomorrow, but if not and you still need some macro to keep you going, check out the results video from the April competition - I just released it today.

This link will take you straight to the video - congratulations to the very deserving winners - no spoilers here!

Have a great week!
